Forget Fairytales
History
- Christine created her "Forget Fairytales" cartoon series in January 2009.
- Christine published the cartoon in The Washington City Paper, Virginia Commonwealth University's The Commonwealth Times, Gonzo Parenting, and REALITY Check Girl Magazine.
- Christine began "Phase 2" of the cartoon series in August 2009.
- Christine exhibited the cartoon series at Halo Lounge in Washington, D.C. on October 27, 2009 for the "Art of Life" series, hosted by Rachel Panay.
- Christine printed the first "Forget Fairytales" 'zine in November 2009 and sold it at the Richmond 'Zine Fest and St. Martin's Episcopal Church Holiday Gift Fair in Richmond, VA.
- Christine exhibited the cartoon series at Theatre IV, the Children's Theatre of Virginia, in Richmond, VA on Nov. 6, 2009.
- Christine earned a grant to start a campus comics magazine at Virginia Commonwealth University in November 2009. As of January 2010, the magazine is titled Comicality and will be released in May 2010. "Forget Fairytales" will appear somewhere within its pages.
- Christine exhibited the cartoon series at Visual Arts Studio in Richmond, VA from December 2009 through January 2010.
- Christine exhibited the cartoon series at Arlington County Central Library in Arlington, VA throughout December 2009.
- Christine wrote "Forget Fairytales: The Play" in December 2009.
